YOUR UNIQUE LOVE STORY & WEDDING DAY VENDORS:
Tell us about your love-story leading up to your special day – how did you meet one another?
A place I never thought I would ever meet my now husband…online 😉 I am not even great with technology and really have no idea who it works, but there it is…online. We chatted for around 3 months before physically sitting down and meeting one another, so by the time that first dinner date happened we knew one another quite well and felt as though we had known one another for years. The guess is as they say is history, 4 years later happily married as best friends.
How did your husband propose to you?
The story unbeknown to me at the time was that he was going to propose on new year’s new while on our holiday in Vietnam….until he consulted with my sister Candy who convinced him to propose on 26 December while in Knysna (my home town) before we headed on your holiday adventure. That day the plan was to try our new beach tent and then have a family braai that afternoon. Suffice to say the beach proposal never panned out, it was boxing day – packed beaches and windy conditions – so plan b ensued before the braai at 14:00. My best friend’s family home had burnt down in the Knysna fires so he convinced me to see the progress of the build en route to our family braai, he proposed right there, outside the house overlooking the whole of Knysna. Perfect!
We celebrated with friends and family over many glasses of champagne all afternoon. The perfect way to celebrate. Thanks candy 😉
